A COMMUNITY OF FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE

Cypress is a community of faith, hope, and love. We seek to live by faith, be the hands of hope and to be known by love.

Our doors are wide open to everyone…regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey. We strive to create a home where your soul realizes “I belong here in this tribe of people”.

We are not the “franchise big box” church, rather Cypress is more of an artisan boutique of creativity, originality, and ingenuity.

Cypress is a non-denominational church located in Safety Harbor and draws people from all over the bay area. We have a partnership with Shiloh Church in Saint Louis du Nord, Haiti and with Springs of Hope Kenya in Nakuru, Kenya.

WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

Together we are a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger. We are a community of believers.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe in the historic confessions of faith put forth in the Apostle’s and the Nicene Creeds.

We believe that everyone matters and is worthy of God’s love and ours.

We believe that the church should be a safe place for all to seek God.

We believe that you do not have to agree together on everything in order to pursue Jesus together

Cypress Meadows Community Church's in-person campus is located in Clearwater, FL. We are a church serving Safety Harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Oldsmar, and surrounding communities.

OUR HISTORY

SMALL BEGINNINGS

  1. June 1981, Douglas Poole graduated from seminary one Sunday and the very next weekend he and his wife Jacque joined up with a couple dozen other dreamers in a horse stable that had been flipped to a church.
  2. The church quickly outgrew the confines of the stable and over the years it has undergone multiple projects of additions. In 1990, a separate and new auditorium was constructed.
  3. In 2016 the main auditorium was remodeled to double the seating capacity.
  4. In the summer of 2021, Cypress Meadows celebrated it's 40th anniversary!
  5. God has taken Cypress on quite a ride since those early days. We have sought God and His grace together; we have built a school in Haiti and an orphanage in Kenya together; we have laughed and cried together; prayed and worshiped together; and shaped the future for the better together.

Through it all, God has remained faithful…and we believe the best is yet to come!
